    Our Story

Breaking Up with Corporate was born from a conversation that felt instantly familiar and deeply necessary.

We’re Susan Tresatti and Alex Murray, and we met in January 2025 at a networking event in Denton, Texas. What started as a chance meeting quickly turned into something more. We connected not only as friends, but as entrepreneurs who shared a similar past and a clear understanding of what it means to leave the safety of corporate life to build something of your own.

Susan is a Realtor and Property Manager with Dragonfly Realty, bringing firsthand experience in building a business rooted in relationships, trust, and long-term strategy. Alex is a Business Coach and Marketing Advisor with Unleash You Coaching, working with individuals who are ready to step into their next chapter, professionally and personally, without burning themselves out in the process.

As we continued showing up to more networking groups across North Texas, a pattern became impossible to ignore. Everywhere we went, we heard the same story told in different ways: people who had left corporate for a multitude of reasons, whether that be burnout, misalignment, lack of fulfillment, or a deep desire to bet on themselves, and were now navigating the messy, courageous, and often misunderstood journey of entrepreneurship.

It was our story, too. And it resonated deeply with both of us.

In May of 2025, we began asking a simple but powerful question:
What if there were a space where these stories were told honestly?

Not just the highlight reels but the pivots, the risks, the fear, the growth, the how, and the moments of daring greatly that come with choosing yourself.

That question became Breaking Up with Corporate.

We launched our first episode of the podcast in December 2025 with the mission of spotlighting real stories of people who have stepped away from the traditional 9-to-5 or corporate path to pursue purpose, freedom, and ownership of their lives. Today, we interview entrepreneurs not only from the North Texas area, but from across the United States, sharing conversations that are raw, practical, and deeply human.

This podcast is for the person who feels stuck, curious, or quietly dreaming of something more. It’s for those who wonder what life looks like on the other side of corporate, and practical advice from those who have done it on how to navigate the transition with clarity, courage, and community.

Because breaking up with corporate isn’t just a career move.
It’s a decision to choose alignment, growth, and possibility.

And you don’t have to do it alone.
